Born in the family of Delhi Press Group, publisher and printer of more than 28 magazines including Grihshobha, Sarita, Womans era, Champak, Mudit Mohini was exposed to journalism and nitty-grittys of printing since childhood. Morning would start with discussions about the current state of Economy and various art and cultural topics and by evening the family would be discussing the quality of magazines printed. So after completing her Mass Communication she first joined an advertising agency and worked in Media department for more than 3 years. But her interest remained publishing. So after acquiring adequate experience Mudit Mohini joined Delhi Press in the year 2003. While working on a sales project she saw a book being designed which she thought should have been designed in a different manner and thus started her involvement with Vishv Books. Then she established her team of editorial, graphics and illustrators to get the work done the way she wanted. Since children books always fascinated her so slowly our focus shifted to children books. Though designing well-illustrated books is her passion but she also takes equal interest while getting those books printed and binded.
Meanwhile, she
also got training in Animation from NY Films in New York to further enhance her
technical knowledge.
She has also authored and conceptualized more
than 100 children books. She initially started with editing or redesigning the
books. But then she realized that she has natural flair for writing children
books. She finds writing children books both challenging and fun.
Her dedicated and consistent efforts won her a
Special mention at the India Mart Leaders of Tomorrow Awards recently which
aimed at giving due recognition to the SMES in the special category women entrepreneur
of the year 2011" award
